On Friday, March 27, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on the world famous Darling Harbour will act as one giant music magnet for all the hottest local and international acts at the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009.

MTV is gearing up the annual extravaganza event that will make heads swim with an epic showcase of A-list celebs and performances! Bringing you an exceptional mix of celebrity, controversy and music, the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 show will also feature a twilight 'Red Carpet' (hosted by The Hills starlet Audrina Patridge) packed with a legion of artists and celebrities arriving for the big show. 

The fifth annual Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 main show will then continue with doors opening for ticket holders at 7:45pm.

The main show will be packed with live performances from some of the hottest international acts in the world (including The Killers and Kings of Leon, who will perform via satellite from TSB Arena, Wellington NZ) and the best current Aussie chart-topping talent. As you'd expect, the show will be filled with big surprises and huge moments!

The Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 will broadcast live from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, on MTV Australia, Friday March 27, 7:30pm (AEDT) Red Carpet, 8:30pm (AEDT) main show. Encore screening on FOX8 Sunday April 5 @ 10:00pm
