Lachlan Mitchell said "I went to the awards, it was a nice venue, but it was way too hot inside, needed air con, and having to wait in 2 lines was pointless.. the whole show felt rushed too.. only 90 min?, way to short for $100, and 50 Cent didn't even perform! I went to these awards thinking we would see him perform from all the promos.. but he was there for like 10 min... and when he spoke, along with every other person, it was hard to know where to look and see them...
hopefully the show isn't scrapped for ever now, if next year bigger acts from overseas, as well as making it more 'Australian' with more Aussie influences and acts and fixing the other issues, then i think the MTVAA will do a lot better and get a better response."

Anonymous said "how did people get to the red carpet? i got there about 6:30ish so we decided not to try and just went inside and had to wait in the heat to get shit positions! we came in the main entrance and went straight forward to the barrier and were at the BACK of the stage where we saw NOTHING! not only that but the screen was behind us which means that people who could see the screen would have been able to see the front of the stage anyway!
i was so excited about seeing kisschasy cos they are aweeeeesome but we didn't even get to see them cos of the ridiculous set up. instead all we could see were the black boxes behind them.
if the aim was to piss off everyone who was there and put on a show that was nothing more than a waste of time then well done mtv, you achieved your goal. "
