MTV online is going crazy on it's own MTVAA tangents, which will have you flicking between the net, the telly and the limo all night long!
As the first part of our very own special online treatment of the MTV Australia Awards, we're pleased to announce the FAN vs THE BAND competition. It's a gameshow! It's participatory! Show the world how legendary your knowledge of our bands are by pitting yourself against them, and see whether you know more about the Band than the Band do themselves!
The first cranking Bands to be announced to participate are Melbourne rockers KISSCHASY, and international wild act JULIETTE LEWIS AND THE LICKS. So take out all your old CDs and get hooked to Youtube, because you're going to have to prove your stuff against not only the rest of their panting pop followers, but the 'original and the best'!
The questions are going to be totally random - trust us, you won't be able to Wiki these babies. If you know useless trivia like Fergie's middle name; Delta Goodrem's first boyfriend; the place where Dave Grohl first met Kurt Cobain; and who likes Scrabble better: Rihanna or Jay-Z; then you're flying high for a chance to get up close and personal with The Bands.
We'll shortly be posting a set of qualifier questions on our Awards site, to see who really knows the most about each of The Bands. Answer the questions, and show us your stuff. If you come out on top, we'll be inviting you to the filming of our FAN vs THE BAND gameshow production, where you are the star, and can come face to face with The Band itself, pit yourself against them and see who takes the crown! No "physical challenges", just pure random shit!
