Delta Goodrem's fantasy-laden video clip for the song "Believe Again" has won MTV Australia's Music Video Of The Year. Voted by you as the best from a high-quality lineup of creative competition (including Fergie's "Clumsy", Mika's "Happy Ending", 50 Cent featuring Justin Timberlake's "Ayo Technology" and Foo Fighters "The Pretender"), the most expensive video clip ever made in Oz, as well as the first video clip to be made in high resolution in this country, turned enough heads to score the votes.
The clip features Delta as a series of mystical nature spirits, emerging from steamy baths, singing in glittery caves and silk-spilled skies, and used artists from Los Angeles, Spain, Melbourne and Sydney to create the ultimate mesmerizing result.
"There are a total of 109 effects shots," said director Michael Spiccia of the clip, "which is more than your average feature film." The clip reportedly took only 2 days to film, but 6 weeks to complete the special effects, which include flying boulders, a kaleidoscope of silk, and blue flames rising from Delta's cupped palm.
