LARA BINGLE AND RHYS DARBY ANNOUNCED AS PRESENTERS AT THE VODAFONE MTV AUSTRALIA AWARDS 2009

At this rate, the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 is gonna have enough star power to light up Sydney for a month!

Just announced - our very own Aussie 'It Girl' Lara Bingle and New Zealand funny man Rhys Darby will each be handing out trophies at the Vodafone MTVAAs.

A couple of years ago, Lara Bingle was thrust firmly into the spotlight when she starred as the quintessential Aussie beach babe in the infamous 2006 Tourism Australia Campaign.  Lara has since become a staple in the local media; starring in advertising campaigns and becoming a fixture on the party circuit.  And now, the Vodafone Ambassador is set to send hearts a-flutter when she presents an award at MTVs night of nights!

Anyone who has spent any time in New Zealand would probably know Rhys Darby's local comedic stand-up stylings; but it wasn't until he featured in the surprise hit TV show 'Flight Of The Conchords' that Darby was catapulted into the international comedy arena.  He has since landed a number a number of film roles, including his 'scene stealing' performance as Jim Carrey's boss in the 2008 smash hit, 'Yes Man'. Darby will proudly represent Aotearoa when he presents at the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009.

Lara Bingle and Rhys Darby will join the growing list of talent at this years Awards including performers Jessica Mauboy, The Fray, The Killers, Kings Of Leon (via satellite) and Sia. Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz will host the show, while The Hills 'It Girl', Audrina Patridge, will host the 'The Red Carpet At The Vodafone MTV Australia Awards' along side MTV VJ's Maz Compton, Darren Mc Mullen, Ruby Rose and special guest Blink-182's Mark Hoppus.
